Tynedale Renewable Energy Co-op

Member of TT’s Energy group have joined with other volunteers to set up TREC – Tynedale Renewable Energy Co-op to set up a community-owned renewable energy scheme in Tynedale. The group are still in the planning phase and today launched their website


Please take a look and register your interest if you would like to find out more or are interested in buying shares in community energy. TREC are currently wanting to engage with landowners and installers who might know of potential sites where community renewables could be installed. TREC are also particularly keen for volunteers to come forward to help work on the project, particularly those with business accountancy and/or commercial renewables experience.

27th April is  the date of the 2013 Hexham Food Festival and Spring Fair.

This year Hexham Farmers Market producers are asking you to bring along your favourite seasonal recipe to share with everyone. After the event all recipes will be put on the market website as a source of inspiration for the fantastic produce you can buy at the market.
