Monsanto is buying up all the seed patents by taking over smaller company’s. This will effect both growers and GARDENERS with implications to food chain resilience and food security. This was highlighted in a recent hexham debate on world food security. Once monosanto and the other 2 big agri corporations have most of the patents then we all are at the mercy of the killer gene, (this gene is used in maze to make all maze infertile so new seed has to be purchased every year.
