Cycling infrastructure and bigger lorries

Been a gap since my last post due to lots of cycling development commitment! Two important snippets below to keep you informed….

This week the All Party Parliamentary Cycling Group’s ‘Get Britain Cycling’
inquiry continued, with planners and experts discussing the hot topic of
infrastructure for cycling. British Cycling insisted that cycle routes and other
provision should not be an afterthought and should be central to government
planning. Read the full report.

Also British Cycling has been  speaking out on worrying government plans to
raise increase speed limits for lorries over 7.5 tonnes to 45 or even 50mph on
single carriageway roads. The limit is currently 40mph and the preference is to not to change it.  Read the full article.
