Transition Tynedale in 2013

Transition Tynedale in 2013

The next TT meeting will be our annual planning event. This is a great time to come and help shape what we do in the coming year. Bring your ideas, commitment and vision. We’ll supply the flip charts and magic markers! We meet at Prospect House in Hexham from 7:30pm on 6th February. As always, you can check out the blog for more information at http://blog.transitiontynedale.org, or come along to our monthly meeting and see for yourself.

Hexham Town Plan

The Hexham Town Council has refused funding for the Hexham Town Plan for the coming year. Here’s a letter from TT member Barbara Grundey, who has been one of the many active participants in forming the plan:“The purpose of the initiative is to provide a guide to help Hexham residents through the current domestic economic crisis that most of us are facing, and to continue to develop the vibrant and creative agencies within our community such as Hexham Community Partnership and Transition Tynedale.

We are working together with local businesses and residents to make Hexham 2018 a good place for families to live and bring up their children; whilst Hexham Town Council appears backward looking; intent on celebrating the past and congratulating each other for maintaining power over Hexham Council Tax payers’ hard earned cash.
Many readers will be aware that the Hexham Town Plan questionnaire has been generated through consultations with residents. The questionnaire asks for your opinions on the issues that were most commonly raised during the recent public consultations. It is now live on Hexham Town Council Website; you can complete it on-line, or collect paper copies from the library, Community Centre or Forum Cinema.
Please allow yourself 10 minutes to confirm your views on those issues which are of common concern to the residents of Hexham by completing the questionnaire before 25th January.”Thank you for supporting the beginning of a transition plan for Hexham
