‘Superhome’ Open Weekend

Thinking about ways to save energy in your home? Want to see some actual examples, talk to the homeowner who did it ? Find out the costs and pitfalls/ advantages/ how easy it is?

Andy Maybury in Hawick is opening his 1964 built council house to the public as part of the ‘Superhomes Weekend’ on March 16th and 17th. The measures he has installed have enabled him to save 87% of the carbon he spent in previous years.

Go to www.superhomes.org.uk/superhomes/hawick-howdenbank to book on one of his tours, view the house online and visit the house.

This unfortunately is the ‘superhome’ registered nearest to Hexham. However many Hexham transitioners have installed different energy saving measures in their homes – come to the next TT open meeting or check out the website for more local help and experiences.
